Invitation for Bid - Wolf Township, Lycoming County, PA
The Hughesville-Wolf Township Joint Municipal Sewer Authority will receive sealed bids containing one (1) original and two (2) copies for Sewer Main Replacement Work at the Authority Office located at 547 Woolen Mill Road, Hughesville, PA 17737 and online via PennBid at www.pennbid.net until 2:00 PM on Friday June 21st, 2024, at which time and place, all sealed bids containing one (1) original and two (2) copies will be publicly opened, and all online bids posted via PennBid.
The Project is the replacement of approximately 2050-feet of 8-inch gravity sewer main in Wolf Township on Gregg Run Road and between State Route 118 near the LAM Development and Gregg Run Road. The sewer main located on Gregg Run Road in this area has major issues with backups and causes continuous maintenance and repairs for the HWTJMA operators. Additionally, the sewer main along State Route 118 crosses two streams with concrete protection that has degraded and exposed the pipe within two streams (Gregs Run and Sugar Run). This project is being supported in part, by federal award number SLFRP2851 awarded to Lycoming County by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This project is also financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority.

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. It is the responsibility of any person or organization interested in a hard copy of the Bidding Documents to pay all costs associated with printing. Contact the Engineer, Larson Design Group, 1000 Commerce Park Drive, Suite 201, Williamsport, PA 17701, (570) 323-6603 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.
A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Hughesville-Wolf Township Joint Municipal Sewer Authority, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid.
Bids may be held by the Hughesville-Wolf Township Joint Municipal Sewer Authority for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. The Hughesville-Wolf Township Joint Municipal Sewer Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to negotiate contract amounts. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage applies to this Project.
