Pathways To Independence

The Enterprise Center’s Pathways To Independence (PTI) program is an entrepreneurship and leadership development program for women who have survived domestic violence.

Through hands-on training, rigorous classes, and individualized coaching, women acquire the skills and training they need to start their own businesses, pursue higher education, or obtain employment.

Through a partnership with Verizon Wireless and Women Against Abuse, PTI participants gain communication and networking skills and professionalism and learn budgeting, and time management.

Every quarter, the program hosts a “Women’s Power Lunch” where participants deliver an elevator pitch on their business idea and have the opportunity to connect with and learn about the experiences of successful women in business, government, education and the arts. Each participant completes the program with a personal portfolio and either a draft business plan or career development plan.
