Who We Are
The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center of Pennsylvania is a program under the auspices of the national MBDA, part of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Our mission is to accelerate the growth of minority firms in Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas.
Who We Serve
MBDA is the only federal agency created specifically to foster the establishment and growth of minority-owned businesses in America. Our mission at MBC-PA is to actively promote the growth and competitiveness of Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. We actively coordinate and leverage public and private-sector resources that facilitate strategic alliances in support of our mission. The businesses we serve typically make at least $500,000 in annual revenues and possess the capable and motivated management needed to grow.
What We Do
We provide access to markets, access to capital, and business consulting.
- Access to markets. We offer procurement matching services in order to help clients win contracts in both the private and public (local, state, and federal) sectors. Business to Business (B2B) matchmaking events and other procurement summits and workshops help clients expand their businesses in the marketplace.
- Access to capital. Our financing experts are skilled at understanding the needs of our clients’ businesses. They are able to assist with loan packaging, loan sourcing/brokering, credit restoration, lines of credit, bonding, and more.
- Business consulting. We provide business assessment and analysis to help keep our clients’ businesses on the right track. Our experts offer strategic planning and competitive analysis, as well as guidance in navigating the various certification programs.
Fees charged will be based on the service provided. Please contact the MBC-PA for details. Please note all MBC-PA firms must formally register as clients by completing an application form and other required documentation.
